The knives in this category lend themselves to quick and snappy movements and or a concealed type of carry. Usually straighter in profile than a chopper, makes them feel fast in the hand, and allows for multiple hand positions, for adaptability in all your knife fighting scenarios.
My bowies, in profile, can sometimes be indiscernible from some fighters in the blades at least. The bowie was after all a fighting knife. I like to embellish the handle in both sweep and decoration on the bowie though. While they are most definitely functional, I do like to explore my artistic side a little more with these big beauties.
Hunters covers a somewhat broad spectrum. For me the knives in this gallery will be of a very functional belt knife size. Not so long, not so short, just right for your wilderdude needs. Some are narrow, some are broad, some are swept up and some drop down. All are built for multiple grip use and comfort for whatever you may come up against and usually accompanied by a pouch style sheath.
